Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment VetSuccess Program (VR&E)
VR&E VetSuccess is a highly recognized program endorsed by United States Congress. It assists both Veterans and their families in finding and sustaining appropriate jobs. It also assists Veterans with severe service connected disabilities become as independent as possible.
VR&E VetSuccess offers several services to veterans and their families. These include:
- Rehabilitation and evaluation for determining specific skills, abilities and interests for employment.
- Vocational Counseling
- Employment services such as resume help, on the job training, and apprenticeships.
- Post secondary training at colleges, vocational, or business schools.
- Counseling and medical referrals.
- Independent living venues for military officers with severe service connected disabilities.
Am I Eligible?
You may be eligible for the VetSucess program if you are an active duty service member, have received honorable discharge from duty, or have obtained a service connected disability rating of 20% or more. You will remain eligible for 12 years from the date of separation from active duty or from the date you were notified of your disability rating. Length of eligibility, however, may be extended under certain circumstances if a counselor sees fit or determines a veteran as having a severe employment handicap.
How to Apply
In order to apply for the VetSuccess program you will need to fill out the appropriate application form based on your military service branch.
