DANTES

Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support

DANTES is a Department of Defense activity that serves to support off-duty voluntary education programs and conduct special projects and development activities in support of education-related functions of the department. Some of their activities include:

  • Facilitating the delivery of examinations such as high school equivalency, college admissions, college credit, and certification and licensure exams.
  • Providing information and referral assistance to military personnel.
  • Assisting in career guidance and counseling services to servicemembers by providing interest inventories and career assessments.
  • Managing higher education contracts with ACE.

DANTES coordinates programs such as the ACE military evaluations so that you are able to receive college credit for your military experience.
